^{The 1st studying day on Techniques and applications of solar drying has been organized on Oct 27, 2022 at the Applied Energy Research Unit Renewables URAER, Ghardaïa.}

This day brought together several researchers working on the drying as well as heads of development institutions and farmers. It has brought out questions around subjects that are still little studied, such as drying techniques and processes.

The scientific program proposed by the research, where more than 100 participants are presents, was very rich and included plenary lectures, oral presentations, poster sessions and field visits (prototypes and test benches).Objectively, this day aimed to bring together experts, researchers, students and farmers to discuss high scientific and practical issues level, to exchange solid knowledge in pure and applied sciences and to study various issues, theoretically and practically.

This event ended with a signing ceremony on framework agreements between URAER and the CAW of Ghardaïa. Recommendations have been formulated on several technical aspects of solar drying, in view of the needs in terms of applied research and farmer concerns.
